He possessed a high, soulful singing voice and developed an aggressive electric guitar style performing throughout the 1960s on Chicago's West Side, influenced by Magic Sam and Otis Rush. In 1993, he was fatally shot by singer James "Tail Dragger" Jones. 1960s style
